St. Agatha becomes the TV star.

St. Agatha School’s old red brick building was the star of the show during a Coca-Cola commercial in the 80s, according to the principal at the time, Sr. Barbara Jean Laughlin, Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon (SSMO). Advertisers loved the look of the red brick so much; they asked students to roller skate, skateboard, and walk on the playground at the side of the building for a Coke commercial. Sr. Barbara Jean remembers how cool the students thought it was, at first. About fifty takes later they were getting a little bored with being TV stars. But what a fun memory!
